04 Jan Novara’s Past Voyages

Novara has been to the far reaches of our planet – from the Arctic circle to Antarctica. Under skipper Steve Brown, Novara completed a 32,000 mile circumnavigation of the Americas. During this time on passage to the Falkland Islands, Novara endured the most challenging conditions with hurricane force headwinds and enormous seas. Steve deployed a drogue and ran SE away from his destination for 42 hours. And Novara kept Steve and his crew safe and sound. For this adventure, Steve won the Tilman Medal from the Royal Cruising Club in 2019 and the 2020 Cruising Club of America’s “Far Horizon” Medal for displaying the highest standards of seamanship and determination.
